In 2022, the third generation of the Honda Pilot has many new features. For starters, the LX and EX models got dropped, so the EX-L is the base model. It also means more features are now considered standard, meaning they come on each 2022 Honda Pilot. New standard features are the infotainment touchscreen with Apple and Android connectivity. Voice control is also on every 2022 Pilot. Other standard features include LED headlights and crash-prevention technology, making the 2022 Pilot the safest model to date. The other change is purely aesthetic: Sonic Gray Pearl is a new color option. If you waited until now to check out the third generation of Honda Pilot, you did yourself a favor. The 2022 Honda Pilot is the most feature-packed version available.
Honda debuted the Pilot to the North American market in 2003 as the consumer desire for SUVs and family-friendly crossovers was rising. Drivers knew and trusted the Honda name, and the Pilot was a strong addition to the Honda fleet.
Initially, the Pilot was available in all-wheel drive, but a 2006 tweak introduced two-wheel drive and a new and sleeker exterior to the vehicle.
With each model year the Pilot only improves to adapt to evolving driver desires with current technology. The Pilot remains one of the best three-row crossovers in a saturated market, and continues to exceed expectations in space, features, safety, comfort, and value.
